　　Old people can keep cats

　　Some old people sometimes feel lonely. I think they can keep cats as their pets.

　　First, cats are not very big and they don’t eat too much. Old people don’t need to make them big houses or spend too much on the cat food. Second, cats are very clean and easy to take care of. Old people don’t need to clean the house very often. Third, cats are good companies. When old people watch TV or rest on the sofa, cats are always with them. They make old people’s life much happier.

　　I had a lovely pet before. It’s a dog. But it died yesterday. It was hit by a car. Yesterday, it went out to play with its friends. When it went across the road, it was hit. I am very sad about this. My dog has come to my home for two years. It was like a family of mine. Before, I played with it everyday. We had much happy time together. But now, it left me. It would never come back. I miss it very much. My parents want to buy a new one for me, but I don’t want to, because it’s not my dog any more.

　　Some people think that keeping pets is a good thing. They say that it is an hobby which should had. They also claim that pets make lives more colorful and entertaining for both women and men.

　　有些人認為養寵物是一件美好的事情。他們說，（養寵物）是一個應該有的愛好。他們也聲稱養寵物可以使生活更加多彩，并給男性和女性帶來更多娛樂。

　　On the other hand, there are many people who say that pets should be banned. They point out that pets are responsible for disease which hurt property, and for injuries suffered both by the people who kept them and by innocent other people. They also say that pets are a waste of money and resources.

　　另一方面，也有很多人說應該禁止養寵物。他們指出寵物是造成傷害（身體）性能疾病的原因，并且會使養寵物的人和其他無辜的人受傷。他們也說，養寵物是一個浪費錢和資源（的事）。

　　My own point of view is that we should had the hobby of keeping pets. While at the same time making them harmless. In addition, we should restrict the keeping the pets to some area.

　　我的觀點是我們應該有養寵物的愛好。但同時要盡量使它們成為無害的。另外，我們應該在某些區域內禁止養寵物。
