  寫給英語周報(bào)編輯的一封信 1

Dear editors of English Weekly,

Now I want to tell you something about wild animals. There are a lot of wild animals living on the same earth with us.They are our friends and neighbors. However, some of them are dying out everyday because of the damages we humans have been doing to the environment. And the situation is still going worse and worse. For one thing, someone killed the tigers and sold their skins to make money. They must be punished.I think we should all be responsible for that and realize that it is our everyones duty to protect the wild animals. They have their right to live just as our human beings. We should treat them with love and care, respect the law of nature and share the same land with them!Let try our best to make a happy home for human beings and animals.

  Yours,

  XXX

Dear,

As is often read in the newspaper reports, wild life especially the rare species is threatened with extinction. Human beings are XXX attempts to hunt wild animals for a big profit.which, of course, results in a sharp decrease in the number of animals. So it is high time for us to take quick action to protect them. First of all, its quite necessary for every citizen to realize the importance of animal protection. Only by knowing its importance can people develop a sense of responsibility. People will surely take it for granted to have the duty to prevent any killing of wild animals. So a national publicity campaign should be launched, thus giving animals a good living environment. In addition, the government should pass some laws to forbid any hunting of rare animals. We dont expect anything harmful to wild life to happen again.

If everyone is involved in the protection of wild life, were sure man will be a good friend of animals rather than their enemy.

Dear,

I hope this letter finds you well. As a loyal reader of your esteemed newspaper, I have always appreciated the diverse range of articles and exercises it provides. Recently, I have been focusing on improving my reading comprehension skills, and I have a few suggestions that I believe would benefit not only me but also many of your readers.

Firstly, could you please include more articles with comprehension questions that challenge us to infer meanings from context rather than just relying on direct facts? This would help us develop a deeper understanding of the text and enhance our critical thinking abilities.

Secondly, I would love to see more articles discussing current events in English, as they often contain complex vocabulary and sentence structures that are essential for advanced learners. Accompanying these articles with glossaries of difficult words and phrases would be incredibly helpful.

Lastly, I suggest introducing a section dedicated to reading strategies, where readers can learn tips and techniques to approach different types of texts more effectively.

Thank you for considering these suggestions. Keep up the excellent work!

  Yours sincerely,

  xxx

Dear,

Greetings from an avid follower of English Weekly! I have been reading your newspaper for years, and it has significantly contributed to my English language journey. I am writing to express my enthusiasm for more writing exercises in future editions.

Writing is a crucial skill in language learning, and I find that practicing through structured exercises can be very beneficial. I propose that you introduce a weekly column where readers are given a topic or a prompt and encouraged to submit their responses. These could then be featured in a later edition, along with feedback from professional editors or teachers.

Moreover, it would be wonderful if you could include exercises that focus on different writing styles, such as narrative, argumentative, and descriptive writing. This would help us develop a well-rounded writing portfolio.

Thank you for your continuous effort to enrich our learning experience. I look forward to seeing more writing opportunities in English Weekly.

  Warm regards,

Dear,

I hope you are doing well. I am writing to provide some feedback on the grammar column, which I have found to be both informative and engaging. However, I have a few suggestions for improvement that I believe would make it even more valuable to your readers.

Firstly, could you consider including more real-life examples and scenarios in the explanations? This would help us better understand how to apply the grammatical rules in everyday conversations and writing.

Secondly, I would appreciate it if the column could occasionally delve into more advanced grammar topics, such as complex sentence structures or idiomatic expressions. This would cater to the needs of readers who are aiming for higher proficiency levels.

Lastly, I suggest incorporating interactive elements, such as quizzes or short exercises, to reinforce the learning. This would make the column more interactive and enjoyable.

Thank you for your attention to these suggestions. Keep up the great work!

  Best wishes,

Dear,

I hope this message finds you in good spirits. I am a loyal subscriber to English Weekly and have always enjoyed the variety of content it offers. I am writing to propose an increase in cultural content, as I believe it is an essential aspect of language learning.

Understanding the culture behind a language can greatly enhance our appreciation and proficiency in it. I suggest dedicating a section to exploring English-speaking countries traditions, festivals, and historical landmarks. Articles on contemporary cultural phenomena, such as music, movies, and literature, would also be fascinating.

Furthermore, interviews with native speakers from different backgrounds, sharing their personal stories and cultural insights, would be incredibly enriching. This would provide readers with a more holistic view of the English-speaking world.

Thank you for considering my suggestion. I am looking forward to seeing more cultural content in future editions of English Weekly.

  Yours sincerely,

Dear,

I hope this letter brings you good vibes. As a passionate reader of your newspaper, I have been consistently impressed by its commitment to providing comprehensive English language learning resources. I am writing to request the inclusion of a special section dedicated to technology and English.

In todays world, technology is intertwined with every aspect of our lives, and being able to communicate effectively about it in English is crucial. I propose a weekly column that covers technological advancements, trends, and innovations, using simple yet precise English. This would not only keep us updated but also help us learn new vocabulary and expressions related to technology.

Additionally, including exercises such as summarizing tech news articles or writing emails related to technological support would be extremely practical. These would help us apply our language skills in real-life situations.

Thank you for considering my request. I am confident that a technology-focused section would be a valuable addition to English Weekly.

Dear,

I hope this letter finds you well. As an avid reader of your esteemed publication, I have always admired the way in whichThe English Weeklyaddresses various topics that are both informative and relevant to its readership. It is with great enthusiasm that I write to propose the introduction of a new column dedicated to discussing issues surrounding teen mental health.

In recent years, there has been growing awareness about the importance of mental wellbeing among young people. However, despite this increased attention, many teens still struggle with feelings of isolation, anxiety, and depression without adequate support or resources. By featuring articles, personal stories, and expert advice on how to cope with these challenges, we can help create a more open and supportive environment for our youth.

Thank you for considering my suggestion. I believe such a column would not only enrich the content ofThe English Weeklybut also make a positive impact on the lives of many. Should you require further information or wish to discuss this proposal in greater detail, please do not hesitate to contact me.

  Best regards,

Dear,

Greetings! I am writing as a long-time subscriber who greatly values the diverse range of topics covered byThe English Weekly. One area where I feel there could be even more exploration is in the realm of Chinese traditional culture.

China boasts a rich history spanning thousands of years, filled with unique customs, philosophies, arts, and festivals that continue to influence modern society. Introducing more features on these aspects would not only provide international readers with deeper insights into Chinas cultural heritage but also foster cross-cultural understanding and appreciation.

For instance, articles exploring the significance behind major holidays like Spring Festival (Chinese New Year) or Mid-Autumn Festival, along with profiles on famous historical figures, traditional crafts, and regional cuisines, would all be fascinating additions to your already excellent lineup.

I look forward to seeing howThe English Weeklymight incorporate more of these elements into future editions. Thank you for taking the time to consider my request.

  Sincerely,

  xxx

Dear,

Firstly, allow me to express my heartfelt gratitude for the hard work put in by everyone atThe English Weekly. Your dedication to providing high-quality, engaging content week after week does not go unnoticed. The variety of articles, from current affairs to language learning tips, truly makes it a pleasure to read each issue.

However, I thought it might be beneficial to share some feedback based on my experience as a regular reader. While the overall quality is superb, occasionally, I find certain sections could benefit from a bit more depth or clarity. For example, when introducing complex grammatical concepts, including more practical examples or exercises could enhance comprehension.

Additionally, perhaps incorporating interactive elements online, such as quizzes related to the week’s theme or discussion forums, could further engage your audience and encourage active participation.

These suggestions come from a place of admiration and a desire to seeThe English Weeklycontinue to thrive. Thank you once again for all that you do, and I eagerly await the next edition.
